Adding a Like Box to Your Site

The Like Box is a social plugin that allows Facebook Page owners to attract and gain Facebook fans from their own website. The Like Box lets users:

• See how many users are already fans, and see some of their friends who are,
• Read recent posts from the Page,
• Become a fan with 1-click without needing to visit the Page.

The Like Box is based on the fb:like-box tag. Before you add the Like Box, you must have already created a Facebook Connect implementation or a Platform application. If you haven't done so, use the Facebook Connect setup wizard to create a basic application.
To add the Like Box to your site is to use the Like Box wizard



Use the wizard to specify which elements of the Like Box you want to show.

• Specify the Facebook Page Id for the Page associated with the Like Box.
• Specify the width of the Like Box in pixels. The Like Box must be at least 200 pixels wide at minimum. (Default value is 292 pixels.)
• Specify the height of the Like Box in pixels. The height defaults based on the elements you include in the Like Box. For a Like Box that contains only the Become a Fan button, but no stream or friends, the height is 64 pixels. If you include all the features, the Like Box is 554 pixels high. If you change the number of connections shown, you may need to edit the height to ensure they are all visible.
• Specify how many Facebook users who like your Page you want to display in the Connections box. Specifying 0 hides the list of fans in the Like Box. You cannot display more than 100 fans. (Default value is 10 connections.)
• Checking the Show stream check box displays your Page's stream on your site. The stream updates each time the Page loads.
• Checking the Show header displays "Find us on Facebook" at the top of the Like Box.
